CHAPTER ONE: CONVERSATIONS IN THE ATTIC
.- How do we start?
Octavio Paz said, paraphrasing George Wells "telling the truth in a culture of lies is a revolutionary act."
.- Are you a Revolutionary?
Didn't you see it? We propose new ways of doing things. Conceive ideas from other perspectives.
.- If you were a revolutionary, who would you look like?
To Emiliano Zapata. The land is the one who works it. Land and Freedom! Land to produce fruit, freedom to sow the fruit
.- What Fruit?
The one who tastes good! The one that tastes rich for the same freedom as the fruit processed in our body, offers to our body, because we eat what we know. Nobody eats a meal that knows neither its flavor nor its nutrients.
.- You talk about Revolutionary, which implies defending a cause. What is the cause?
The one that interests you! The one that is important! Freedom is important!
The land is important, because it is in it, where we sow the fruits, that's why it proclaims it: Land and Freedom!
But not everyone wants the same fruit...
That is why everyone have their own land; to sow in their own land the appropriate fruit to their liking, and that is part of the freedom to choose; but it is not valid, to come and sow other fruits in some else’s property, because it erodes the fruit, which the legitimate owner of the land intends to collect, that is, there must be a culture of respect, not only in regards to expression, but also for the property of others, and for what is sown.
.- But aren't they all the same?
Oh yes, Indeed! That's why there are lands of grapes, apples, watermelons, wheat, onions, in short. The good producer, when he wants his own land, informs himself, takes knowledge, prepares, and his ideas turns them into facts, in his own land, because what he produces, is a symptom of his care, of his knowledge, of his specialty, and then he connects his words, his chores, his thoughts, his mouth, his hands, in the realization of something physical, and there is a connection between what I think in my head, and what I do with my own hands, in the real world, in my own land.
How beautiful, isn't it? ... That's called authenticity. We know who produces the fruit, where it is produced, has its own name and that is its distinction.
All human beings come to produce a fruit, not on other people's land, but on our own land, because that is the challenge of life, that is the personal contribution to life.
.- What is its fruit?
D'Bodas & XV Anos
.- What does that fruit intend for?
Several things.
Ask questions in a family or future family, and have them elaborate their answers. These questions exist through programs, writings, videos, love narratives. The stories bring questions, paint relationships, point out attitudes between men and women who try to cope through love. But love has edges, love has its thorns "if you have to look at a rose you have to look at the thorn," right? Napoleon does it through singing, we at D' Bodas @ XV Anos do it through stories, audio and/or video productions. That's the challenge. Let those who listen elaborate questions, about their relationships, and the relationships we establish.
We already have certain statistics in geographical areas where divorces increase, they come to represent 50% compared to the registration of marriages. I come from there, and if I can contribute something in what I can, in what I have, I offer it, and if I can do something to reduce those statistics I offer it with what I have: my hands, my voice, my creativity to do it, to instigate, to ask, to rethink, to idealize, to solve, to conceptualize in other terms, under other structures; but I am also not blind, to see that sometimes it is better to "break" because another person is destroying your own, and it is necessary to move away, and we will also deal with it.
Now I'm practical! From the said to the fact, without copy and paste, I am producing a novel on radio, and that is a creative challenge, where we can raise questions, but not as the mass media have tried to project love as in "Gone with the Wind" with the handsome character and the girl a princess in her beauty in paradisiacal landscapes; but rather, more popular, more you and me, in some purchases at the supermarket, real, not painted as "Maria la del Barrio", disguised as "squirm with a combination of prince charming", but rather real, of people who suffer, who make decisions without the Eloquence of "Decisions" of Telemundo, but rather, real; these segments will listen to them, cry, laugh, but they are real aspects, not paradisiacal, more ours, more villagers, more local, more you and me, without the great scenarios of television that disguise the situations in paradisiacal and distant environments of what we are, but more the real. It's a RadioNovela, you'll love it!
